Good Karma: List of actions that accrue good karma

March 19th, 2012

Last post was about deeds that accrue bad karma, this post is about deeds that accrue good karma. As I mentioned earlier, we already know the difference between good and bad subconsciously, this post just a reminder to the conscious mind. This list is not exhaustive but just the tip of an iceberg, the true knowledge is already present within everyone. Let us take some of the deeds that accrue good karma one by one:

  1. Praying for self and others: The ‘San Francisco General Hospital coronary care unit study’ regarding the power of prayer is probably just a reassurance to all those who have experienced the power of prayer.  I personally feel that prayers are the best gifts that we can give to others. The book ‘Laws of spiritual world’ gives elaborate account of events that take place when we pray for someone. Through prayers we can handle adverse situations that falls beyond our circle of influence. Pray whenever you find any person in difficulty to help him.
  2. Remembering God: Spiritual books claim that we accrue good karma by remembering God, or by reciting name/s of God. When we concentrate on an infinitely conscious entity, we elevate our own consciousness.  More we pray or meditate on god faster we progress towards perfection in all aspects of our life. Hence, one way to accrue good karma with least effort is to remember god as often as possible.
  3. Forgiveness: By forgiving a grieving person we give him an opportunity to improve and get rid of guilt. We also take away energy from repetitive karmic cycle thus ensuring peace for self and others. When we start to forgive others we too are forgiven by others easily. Thus we move toward goodness.
  4. Humility: When we are humble the world also behaves humbly with us, as we reap what we sow. By being humble we react to situations and people positively creating positive energy around us. Due to our humble behaviour we inspire others to be humble and peaceful.
  5. Selflessness: The boomerang nature of karma, rewards people who are selfless in multiple ways. By being selfless we become initiators of positive cycles of behaviour leading to peace, prosperity and overall upliftment of society.
  6. Kindness: The boomerang nature also applies to kindness; kindness is true reflection of god’s essence. When we carry kindness in our heart we tend to help others, become compassionate thus adding good deeds in out karmic accounts.
  7. Compassion: When we have compassion in our hearts we are able to counteract many negative traits like violence or greed. Intrinsic compassion allows us to act in ways that are benevolent to others hence the result it brings is also benevolent.
  8. Pure thinking: Our thought make us what we are, poor thoughts culminate into negative deeds and resultant effect. Pure thoughts keep us on the correct path and motivate us to continue on the path of truth, love and simplicity.
  9. Respecting others: When we pay respect, we receive respect, when we receive respect we feel responsible, loved and satisfied. Further we generate goodwill that helps us in all endeavours, in present and future lives.
  10. Courage: courage to resist wrong, courage to resist temptation, courage to oppose injustice to self and others, courage to help fellow beings and similar deeds add good karma into our accounts.
  11. Self-discipline: Self discipline helps us to progress, and motivates people around us to progress in material and spiritual endeavours, self-discipline acts as a barrier to prevent us from indulging in unhealthy practices.
  12. Truthfulness: All forms of sins, wrong actions are nothing but deviations of truth. On the other hand, the core of purity and good karma is truth.
  13. Practicing love: Love is very powerful, it can cure many emotional, physical and spiritual diseases. When we start to spread love unconditionally we bring transformation is everyone and everything around us, thus it adds to our good karma.
  14. Accepting Responsibility: When we see ourselves as servant of humanity we start to accept responsibility of those in need and act with the objective to help. The tendency to exploit others diminishes.
  15. Self-control: Self-control cannot be termed as good karma, but it acts as a preservative, it preserves our good tendencies and repels bad tendencies.
  16. Communing with God: The source of all good is god, and just be meditating on him we improve on our karma. Good karma improves our chances of reaching the ultimate destination of life, i.e. Self realization or God realization.

7 Ways to feel God

January 1st, 2012

As atmosphere is on earth God is on the entire universe, present everywhere… felt everywhere. As we do not see air surrounding us but scientists have demonstrated its presence through complex experiments so is the case with God, God’s presence has been demonstrated by spiritual scientists through experiments of consciousness. Like scientific experiments, spiritual experiments too can be verified for consistency of results. These seven ways to feel God have been given by ancient spiritual scientists, and all of us are free to authenticate these in our own laboratory of consciousness. » Read more: 7 Ways to feel God
